CCUSA Pandemic Relief Grant

Posted on June 10, 2020 in: General News

Dear Parishioners,

Catholic Charities USA has awarded a grant to the Diocese of New Ulm targeted to assist “those hardest hit by the 2020 pandemic.” Given the circumstances, the diocese will be prioritizing assistance to single parent families and two parent families where both wage earners are immediately unemployed and facing homelessness or severe medical hardships. Financial assistance would be up to $200.00 per household. Applicants need not be parishioners or Catholic, but a referral from the pastor is necessary. Applicants should reside within the Diocese of New Ulm. If you or someone you know could benefit from this grant, please pass this on. If you have any questions, please call the AFC office at 320-839-2772 or Deacon Timothy Dolan (507-233-5326) or Tom Keaveny (1-866-670-5163).

Other foundations and community groups are considering grant/gifts to support this initiative. Any questions about donations to Catholic Charities to assist this effort should be directed to Tom Keaveny. Email communications regarding the program can be addressed to tkeaveny@dnu.org or tdolan@dnu.org.

The application can be obtained from the Ortonville office and is also available on our website.
