Parish Events

The Most Reverend Bishop John LeVoir has made the following appointments effective at 12:00 noon on June 26, 2018 at the recommendation of the Priest Personnel Board.

 Fr. Tony Hesse appointed Pastor of the Churches of St. Catherine in Redwood Falls and St. John in Morton in addition to his current responsibilities as the Pastor of the parishes in the Light of the World AFC.

 Fr. Jeff Horejsi appointed Pastor of the parishes in the Shepherd of Souls AFC, which includes the Churches of St. Philip in Litchfield (including St. Gertrude in Forest City), Our Lady in Manannah, and St. John in Darwin.

 Fr. Denny Labat appointed Parochial Vicar (senior associate pastor) of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in Marshall a parish in the Bread of Life AFC and the Churches of St. Mary in Tracy, St. Michael in Milroy and St. Paul in Walnut Grove, all parishes in Our Lady of the Prairie AFC.

 Msgr. Eugene Lozinski appointed Pastor of the Church of the Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth and the Church of St. Paul in Comfrey in addition to his current responsibilities as Pastor of the Church of St. Mary in Sleepy Eye, the Church of St. Michael in Morgan and the Oratory of St. Joseph in Clements in the Divine Mercy AFC and Chancellor of the Diocese of New Ulm.

 Fr. Mark Mallak appointed Parochial Vicar (senior associate pastor) of the Churches of St. Mary in Tracy, St. Michael in Milroy and the Holy Redeemer in Marshall with responsibilities for the Spanish Mass in Marshall and Hispanic Ministry.

 Fr. Jerry Meidl appointed Parochial Vicar (senior associate pastor) of the Holy Cross AFC which includes the Churches of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, St. Mary in New Ulm, St. Gregory the Great in Lafayette, St. John the Baptist in Searles and St. George in West Newton Twp. April 5, 2018

 Fr. Bob Mraz appointed Parochial Vicar (senior associate pastor) of the Light of the World AFC which includes the Churches of St. Anne in Wabasso, St. Mary in Seaforth, Our Lady of Victory in Lucan, St. Mathias in Wanda and the Churches of St. Catherine in Redwood Falls and St. John in Morton.

 Fr. Bruno Santiago appointed Parochial Administrator of the All Saints AFC which includes the Churches of St. Andrew in Fairfax, Sacred Heart in Franklin, St. Willibrord in Gibbon and St. Francis de Sales in Winthrop.

 Fr. Paul Schumacher to retire from full time active ministry and stay living in the rectory at Holy Trinity in Winsted while providing limited pastoral assistance as needed.

 Fr. Mark Steffl appointed Pastor of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in Marshall and the Our Lady of the Prairie AFC which includes the Churches of St. Mary in Tracy, St. Michael in Milroy and St. Paul in Walnut Grove.

 Fr. Joseph Steinbeisser appointed Pastor of the Heart of Jesus AFC which includes the Churches of St. Aloysius in Olivia, St. Mary in Bird Island, St. John in Hector and Holy Redeemer in Renville.

 Fr. Craig Timmerman appointed Pastor of St. James in Dawson in addition to his current responsibilities as Pastor of the parishes in the Good Teacher AFC which includes the Churches of St. Edward in Minneota, St. Peter in Canby, St. Eloi in Ghent, and St. Leo in St. Leo and assistant Diocesan Vocations Director.

 Fr. Paul Wolf appointed Pastor of the Church of St. Anastasia in Hutchinson and the Church of St. Boniface in Stewart, with responsibilities in the St. John Paul II AFC which includes the Churches of the Holy Trinity in Winsted, Holy Family in Silver Lake and St. Pius X in Glencoe. Additional Official Assignment effective at noon on April 18, 2018.

 Dcn. Michael J. McKeown appointed to exercise the ministry of permanent deacon at the Church of St. Mary in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota and to assist in the Divine Mercy Area Faith Community under the direction of Msgr. Eugene L. Lozinski.
