Sunday, October 29th, 2017, has been designated as "Priesthood Sunday," a day for Catholics to honor the contribution of their parish priests. Catholics all over America are called to celebrate the gifts of priesthood in service to our parish communities. This event gives us an opportunity to affirm the priesthood in our Church and to express our support for the honorable and dedicated priests who baptize, marry and care for their flocks in both good and bad times. In honor of Father Brian, we thank you for all you do and will do and offer this novena of prayer as a gift for you:

Novena Prayer for Priests

(to be recited for 9 days)

O Mary, Mother of Jesus

you were with Jesus

at the beginning of His life and mission.

You stood beside Jesus when He was lifted

on the cross and gave His life for all.

We ask you now to be with our priests,

who give themselves in service to God's people.

Intercede for them that they may grow in holiness;

proclaim God's work with courage;

celebrate the sacraments with joy;

and be among God's people as Jesus,

the Good Shephard, was.

We offer this prayer to God, the Father, 

through your intercession,

in the name of you Son, Jesus,

and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
